What the extension does

The mygstfiling GST Assistant downloads your own GST return data (GSTR-1, GSTR-2B and the IMS inward-supplies statement) from the Government of India GST portal at gst.gov.in, inside your own browser session, and sends it to your mygstfiling account so it can be used for reconciliation and reporting. It is intended for GST practitioners and taxpayers who already have a mygstfiling account.

What we do not do

We do not collect your GST portal password, and we do not solve or bypass the portal CAPTCHA — you log in yourself.
We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share it with third parties.
We do not use your data for advertising, creditworthiness or any purpose unrelated to the mygstfiling service.
We do not read pages other than the GST portal pages needed for the download.

Storage and retention

Downloaded returns are held in the extension's memory only until you push them to mygstfiling; they are not written to disk by the extension. Data stored in your mygstfiling account is governed by the mygstfiling Privacy Policy and Terms of Service and is retained for as long as your account requires it.

Your controls

You can disconnect the extension at any time (Log out of mygstfiling), which revokes its access token, and you can remove the extension from Chrome. Removing the extension does not delete data already imported into your mygstfiling account; contact us to have that deleted.
